I am so happy for you all...for the girls to have a family and for you who have longed for these daughters. Our God is so good and His plans and timing are a beautiful thing. The video made me cry. The girls are precious and are so obviously blossoming under the care at the Transition Home. Mesai still looks protective of Gadise but once she has five older brothers to take her under their wings and protect her, that will fade. I am just thrilled for you and can't wait to see your next full family photo! Hurry to Canada Mesai and Gadise... your loving family is anxious to hold you and hear your laughter fill the house. Little girl giggles, pretty dressed, pink, dolls, story books, tuck-ins, rough-housing, sledding, skating, cuddling, tree climbing, all await you.

Dear Mesay and Gadise,
Although you may not know it yet, you are soon to come home and join a wonderful family. Over the past year I have (through your mommy's wonderful words) read all about their adventure to bring you home.
I wish for you both a life filled with love, adventure and happiness. (Although with 6 brothers they might be protective of too much adventure).

With much love
Laura and Shawn Housden (and two little Housdens, not yet home with our family)

Justine,
CONGRATULATIONS! I can't believe you heard about court date so fast! This is so amazing for your family and for your precious girls!!

Gadisae and Mesai,
My prayer for you both is to grow up in a loving, nurturing home where you can experience the love of Jesus and know how absolutely precious and valuable you are! You are now part of a wonderful family where you can laugh, cry, play, tease, learn and grow into special, unique young ladies. I wish you a very happy life with your new family!

What can I say? It's been an amazing journey sparked by love and fueled by your incredible passion and faith. The neat thing is that this news, though it seems like the climax--and what usually comes after the climax is the beginning of the end--is in reality just the starting point to the next climax! Did that make any sense??? What I'm trying to say is that I'm still sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what God is going to do next! :) The girls are adorable and I can truly picture them in your family. Look out boys, pink is heading your way!

Speechless! That's what I am, but absolutely not surprised at the gift God has waiting for all of you, two gifts, two precious girls waiting for you to bring them home. We've walked alongside you, and the journey is so amazing. We've watched, waited, prayed and here you go! We love looking at the photos over and over again, and think your recent family photos are just wonderful, especially with the two photos in Ray's hands. Blessings to all of you, and Ray, don't talk so much ....snicker. Muawwwwww (blowing kisses to you)......and, BIG HUGS! The next journey is about to begin, what a great road ahead...Love to you!

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Dear Mesai and Gadisae,

Many people have been praying for this day when the courts decreed what God already knew. He has placed you in a very special family!

I grew up with 4 older brothers, so not quite as many as you will have, but I can tell you it is pretty terrific. Brothers can be alot of fun, and they like to watch out for their little sisters. I know you will have many wonderful adventures ahead!

Blessings,

Karen

Wow, that was fast! Congratulations - they are gorgeous.

Wouldn't it be great if they were home by the time we come visit in mid July? You never know, it could happen. (I just hope we don't miss you because you're in Ethiopia! Though if that's the reason, I won't mind too much...)

I would like to pass on my warmest blessings to Justine, Ray and their 6 boys. The journey you are about to complete is really only the beginning. I will think of you all with a smile on my face. Ray and I met just recently at a men's retreat at Chubb Lake. The moment I saw him and his Watoto necklace I knew there was already a deeper bond amongst us. My wife Veronica and I will be taking on a journey next year, God willing, to Uganda to help build a home for orphaned children. Ray has told me that he prayed for me about this the following day after we spoke, and I would like to thank him as it means a lot to me. I would also like it to be known that I have thought and prayed not only for you Ray, but for your wife Justine and your 6 boys and 2 daughters to be.
May God continue to bless all of you.
