Traditional Dinner

Sisters!

Having Fun Teasing Big Brother
Solomon and Gertichew picked us up at 7:00 pm tonight. We were heading to a local traditional restaurant for dinner. When I walked in I was very impressed. It is a gorgeous restaurant. At one time it was a church at one end.

The Boys Enjoyed the Endless Supply of Soft Drinks!

I can’t begin to put into words how it felt to see these beautiful young men and women dancing, knowing that my girls have that in their soul. I just had to watch Gadisae to see how her shoulders would just start to roll forward to see that she knows what she is doing. She and Mesai were too shy to dance for us, unfortunately.

Look at Those Hands - Just Beginning to Dance

I did video tape as much of the dancing as I could, in the hopes of having our girls learn to dance from it. Since we homeschool there is nothing to stop me from having them take a Traditional Dance class at home! I have taken many pictures of these people dancing in a variety of ways and I was very impressed!

As I have been here in Ethiopia, the music has grown on me and I now really like it! But when you see the dancers dancing for their seasons, and harvests, and other special events, it really speaks to you.

I was able to find a store that sells traditional music and I bought two vcds. These are cds that play like dvds.
