Continuing the Room

The last two days have shot by. I did the third and final coat of paint on the furniture today; am I glad that is done! I dapped all the holes in the trim and then painted it white. Then after all that painting was done we unpacked the toys and started to set up the room.

Cooper wasn't feeling well today, so while I was painting the trim, I let him build some of the Fairyland Playmobile I bought for the girls. These cute little sets have fairies and such. He had a great time building it.

Later, it was Cassidy's turn to build the sets. Don't tell me that boys don't enjoy girl toys, too! Yes, they may prefer boy toys, but they certainly have fun with the other stuff too!

Completed Fairyland

After this was done we opened all the doll clothes packages and put them in the little doll box and then Cassidy, Briton, and Austin worked together building the cradle and highchair. Briton mostly hid the screws, while Cassidy and Austin build the stuff. *smile*

Briton was also my little garbage man. He took this job seriously.

Mary Jane's

When I was a little girl I had a pair of Mary Janes. I always thought that if I had a little girl I would love some classic little girl shoes to wear with her dresses. Well, lucky for me, a couple years ago Mary Janes came back in style. I bought a number of pairs, in case I can't buy them when they outgrow the first ones.

I am so happy for you and your family.
The girls are going to be thrilled when they get home to you.

Looking forward to hearing more of the girls and your family.

Sorry I've been MIA lately, but I wanted to de-lurk (I have been reading, just not commenting) and let you know the room looks BEAUTIFUL!!! I can't wait to see pictures of the girls in there! :)

Justine, I'd love to say it looks like fun, but then I don't exactly love to assemble things from a box myself. LOL As for the Mary Jane shoes, they never, ever go out of style, a classic shoe for all ages. They are our preferred type of shoe for the girls when younger, and can always be found at Payless shoes and others year round. They are so cute! I can just see them on your girls already. They will be princesses coming into a palace, literally with that room you're making fit for any princess. What a job well done, and I laughed at your boiling point mentioned in one blog. It just wasn't your day that day huh? LOL Lastly, back pats and high fives to the boys for being tremendous assistants in getting that room done with you. You have great boys!!!! :-) Hugs!!!
