A Gift Like No Other - Our Girls

How do you say "Thank you," to someone who has given you the most incredible gift? Words can never really convey our heartfelt appreciation, respect, and yes, love, for such a person as our girls Enat.

Today, while looking through the thankyou card section as the store, I found a card that just seemed perfect. It simply said:

To Thank You

Out of the abundance of a giving heart...

gifts of joy.

What beautiful words. Our girls mum gave her girls 'out of the abundance of her giving heart' - the ultimate sacrifice. Our girls are 'our gifts of joy'.

I wanted to do something special for her, so I bought a pretty gift bag and put a few special gifts in there for her - beads and beading wire; pretty headbands; slippers; sweet smelling soap; a tshirt that we had made for her, showing her girls, our house, and our family; and a beautiful board book called M is for Maple - a Canadian Alphabet.

This book shows scenes from Canada, such as, Saskatchewan grain fields, children playing pond hockey, little islands, a mountie, men discovering gold, maple trees, the Northern Lights, hockey players, and the rodeos. I think it will be a wonderful book for her, showing her where her little girls will grow up and what they will experience.

I also put in a photo album of the best of the photos that I have received from travelling parents, with room for more pictures as we send them to her.

The best gift of all, in my opinion though, is the collage I made today. This collage was made on a special photography machine in a photo shop. They make amazing pictures when they are developed! (ignore the white large border - that was my poor scanning job and it is midnight and I am not doing it again tonight! :o] )

It shows pictures of her girls, and then a picture of her girls new family. I hope that she knows how treasured her girls already are.

I am so blessed and encouraged by reading your story. I can't wait until you are holding your girls in your arms. What an awesome financial testimony about your adoption. God is so good! -Becky R in NJ

My heart is torn once again! The collage is beautiful and the girls Enat, I can only imagine, will cherish it forever.
